Next Week Preview

It probably won’t come as much of a surprise to those of you who have followed the Tri-County League for at least a year but without a doubt next week’s games could be thes toughest games KYF faces in 2014.

Kingsburg is almost a perennial favorite in every age group.  Yes, they have a lot of kids to choose from but they are also very well coached.  Last year Kingsburg won both the Pee Wee Championship of Tri-County and the Junior Championship.  The Kingsburg Juniors defeating the Los Banos Juniors in the Championship Game by the score of 24 - 6, & The Kingsburg Pee Wees defeating Dos Palos in the Championship Game by the score of 6 - 0.

And that’s not all… The Kingsburg Seniors ALSO made the Tri-County Championship game losing to Los Banos 40 - 6.

Make no mistake - Kingsburg is a well coached and efficient organization from top to bottom.. they WILL be tough, what they will not be is ‘invincible’.

Last year’s KYF Pee Wees and Seniors also made the playoffs….  Your KYF Pee Wees are currently sitting in 4th place in Tri-County East which would qualify them for the playoffs… Your KYF Juniors are tied for 2nd place in Tri-County East and are also currently qualified for the playoffs…. and your KYF Seniors are in 5th place in Tri-County East but are ALSO currently qualified for the playoffs.  All 3 KYF Teams, (Mighty Mites do not have a playoff series), are in playoff contention.

Coach Guizar mentioned to me that he couldn’t remember the last time we had defeated Washington… then came the games this last Saturday with your KYF Juniors taking command early and never letting up until the final Gun.  Victory….  GO KYF.
