Everyone knew it was going to be a tough game…. and that’s exactly what happened. KYF’s offense controlled the ball well, and clock, but twice Washington was able to stop KYF inside the 10yd line keeping the game close. But when the offense stalled the defense stepped up - consistently dropping Washington for losses and keeping them in a hole. The final two drives of the game were a perfect example of the way the entire game progressed… the offense pushing the ball all the way down the field but then stopped just short of the one TD they needed to seal the game… and then the Defense rising to the occasion and stopping Washington from making any serious threat. In the end… was it a Safety or not? I’m not sure anyone knows… but it’s a moot point because no matter how you score it it’s a KYF Victory who now moves on to the Semi-Final Playoff Round.
